Regarding the half marathon this Sunday.
It’s difficult to say what is going to happen on Sunday, but there will probably be a lot of spectators parked on the Cassiobury estate near the park, as well as streets closed off.
Although the race was cancelled last year due to poor weather, I believe the plan last year was to close off Conningesby Drive (the approach road to the club driveway) and Langley Way (the main road leading to the driveway) between 11:30 and 1pm – when the runners are coming back to the finish.
If the road is closed, or due to the weight of traffic you simply can’t get near Conningesby Drive, I would suggest everyone leaves themselves plenty of time for the possibility that they may have to park further away and they will have a 15 – 20 minutes walk.
Normally, there is parking on the Cassiobury estate, but further away from the park (up the hill and on one of the side streets).
