MK send out warning to the rest of the league after crushing second place Aylesbury.

A brace from Mark Sibson helped Milton Keynes men’s 2s to a 4-0 win away at Aylesbury in a top of the table clash.

After a rather chilly week, Milton Keynes were looking to heat things up and arrived at Aylesbury ready to show the unbeaten side what they were made of.

The home side came out of the blocks the quicker of the two sides despite having their game the previous week cancelled.

MK keeper Sam Jackson was called into action a couple of times but kept Aylesbury at bay with a string of good saves.

With ten minutes of the game gone, the visitors began to assert themselves and this pressure soon paid off.

Striker Toby King picked up the ball inside the D and danced round two defenders and the keeper before slotting the ball home from an acute angle.

This goal galvanized MK who started to look more and more dangerous as the half progressed.

They didn’t have to wait long for a second goal, this time Martin Kavanagh popped up to bag his 17th of the season.

The league’s top scorer picked up the ball from a cross and roofed it from close range, giving the keeper no chance.

MK were by far the better team as the half time whistle blew, but they were aware that Aylesbury were yet to lose a league game this year.

After the break, it was more of the same, with MK putting real pressure on the home defence. With five minutes of the half played, it was 3-0.

Midfielder Mark Sibson was on hand to apply the finishing touches to a well worked short corner, slotting the ball in from close range.

Aylesbury just couldn’t deal with MK and started to self-destruct, playing sloppy passes and getting themselves sent off.

The pressure the visitors were applying paid off again as Sibson bagged his second of the game.

After running onto a loose ball in the D, Sibson calmly lofted the ball over the on rushing Aylesbury keeper to essentially kill the game off.

MK weren’t finished there and by this point it looked like they would score every time they went forward.

Sadly it was not to be though, with Jolyon Vernon and Paul Hutchinson coming agonisingly close to adding to MK’s tally.

The game finished 4-0 and leaves MK top of the pile while sending out a message to the rest of the league.
