MK men's 2s 3-4 Sonning 1s

Milton Keynes men's 2s said Hello Goodbye to their unbeaten home record as they were sunk by the Yellow Submarine that was Sonning.

With MK wanting to bounce back from last week's disappointing result, they needed to start the game off well, but from the off it seemed as though Something wasn't quite right.

Within a few minutes, the home side were behind after a Sonning striker was left unmarked at the top of the D.

Before the match, all of MK's troubles seemed so far away, but now they looked as though they were here to stay, with Sonning doubling their lead.

Straight from the push back, it was 3-0. MK sloppily gave the ball away immediately, and it looked like MK would struggle to Get Back into the game.

With just over 20 minutes gone, it was 4-0 and MK were crying Help! Sonning were tearing them apart and it look like they'd been training Eight Days a Week.

At half time, MK found themselves in times of trouble, Mother Mary came to them, speaking words of wisdom and tell them to grow a pair and fight for some pride.

The Long and Winding Road back into the game was kicked off by Martin Kavanagh who slid in to deflect a cross, making it 4-1.

Kavanagh made it 4-2 shortly after with an almost identical goal. The diving striker manage to get Something on the ball and knocked it across the line.

It was all MK now, and they made it 4-3 from a Mark Sibson short corner. The shot flew in with such speed it had flames coming out the back of it. One defender dodged out of the way, screaming 'Here Comes the Sun'.

Sadly the visitors couldn't find the equaliser their second half performance deserved and it finished 4-3 to Sonning.
