Strange meteorological phenomenon hits Woughton-on-the-Green as it rains yellow cards in a 1-1 draw.

Nothing of note happened as MK took on Aylesbury at home, apart from two goals and all of the cards ever.

MK were looking for revenge after losing 5-2 to Aylesbury in a preseason friendly, but this didn't look likely in a lackluster first half.

The visitors were the dominant side and MK struggled to get going. Their cause wasn't helped when Lewis Jobbling was given a green card for a overly exuberant tackle. Nobody was to know this would be the start of a theme for the game.

Paul King then decided he needed two minutes off the pitch, so got himself a green card for breaking down play. Outrageous behaviour.

Aylesbury's pressure soon paid off when their striker appeared to knock the ball over the line. MK thought they'd kept the ball out, but unfortunately the video ref had gone for a poo at this point so missed it and the goal was given. Bad times.

The half time break saw MK have a good chat about how they needed to be better. It also saw some dark clouds rolling over Woughton-on-the-Green. One spectator who happened to be a meteorologist was heard to say it looked like it was about to start raining cards. They were spot on.

MK began brightly and started to apply pressure on the visitors defence. At this point the exuberance of youth struck again and Jobbling was given a yellow card for a poorly timed challenge.

Moments later, MK were down to nine men. One of the Aylesbury players ran into Martin Kavanagh who wasn't too chuffed with this. Both players were given yellow cards. Obviously.

After a small period of calm where nobody was sent off, the home side got themselves level. Lewis Jobbling was first to react after the Aylesbury keeper saved the initial shot from a short corner. Boom, 1-1.

MK continued to push but couldn't create clear openings. Their cause was helped when Aylesbury saw one of their midfielders yellow carded for breaking down play. Sadly the home side couldn't make the most of the numerical advantage.

The deluge of cards continued when Mark Sibson was adjudged to have broken play down by standing and being fouled. One onlooker fainted because whatever he was adjudged to have done was so terrible. The umpire rightly brandished a yellow to a terrible human being who could have seriously hurt the player had he actually fouled him or done anything wrong.

The crowd were loving it and started chanting for more yellow cards. The umpire, not wanting to upset an unruly mob, duly obliged.

Paul Hutchinson maliciously won the ball after a well timed tackle and had to go. Parents of onlooking children tutted as he trudged off the pitch. Such dirty play has no place in the game we all love.

And with only a 30 seconds left of the game, the final yellow card was brandished. Upon initial inspection, it looked like the Aylesbury player had dived. The umpires had a little con flab and realised that Martin Kavanagh may have just caught the onrushing striker.
Thankfully the Aylesbury player didn't mind that his shin now wobbles and had the imprint of a hockey stick on it.

Just before anyone else could be sent off, the umpires decided to call time and it ended 1-1.
