Wokingham 1s 2-4 MK Men's 2s

Two goals in the last two minutes from Martin Kavanagh gave Milton Keynes Men's 2s a win in heir opening game of the season.

MK went into the game looking strong after a decent pre-season and it showed right from the start.

The visitors dominated play early on and went in front thanks to a Dave Breuilly strike. The captain touched the ball past the keeper before knocking it home to put MK 1-0.

It was one way traffic with MK applying all of the pressure. This soon told when Jack Luther volleyed the ball home from close range to make it 2-0.

The home side were being dominated and almost all of the play was taking part in their half. Despite this, MK couldn't get a third goal. Striker Callum Clarke was unlucky not to open his tally for the season, with a drag flick cannoning off the post.

After the break, MK were guilty of taking their foot off the gas and started to let Wokingham into the game more and more.

The home side began to make in roads and found themselves back in the game after a short corner managed to sneak over the line.

Milton Keynes looked to have thrown it away with a few minutes left on the clock. Another short corner was converted by Wokingham and they looked the most likely to kick on and grab all three points.

But its wasn't to be for the home side. With two minutes to go, the umpire have a flick. Despite missing one at the same ground last season, Martin Kavanagh stepped up and coolly slotted the ball home.

Wokingham weren't done yet though and made a final push to earn a draw. They left themselves open at the back though and after a super break by Breuilly, Kavangh ensured the win with the final touch of the game.
