MK 3s put themselves up into fifth place in the league with an important 2-1 win at home to Maidenhead on Saturday, thought were soemwhat disappointed the result wasn't more heavily in their favour. After getting some good trips into the D early on but failing to make much of them, MK eventually took the lead through Callum Clarke. Unfortuately, rather than MK using this breakthrough to extend their lead, Maidenhead managed to hit back and equalise. However, strong work in the press throughout the game did bear fruit when possession was turned over eventually falling to Will Luther who did well to slot it home for the half-time lead.
The second half was much the same as the first, with MK having the vast majority of the pressure but unable to make the breakthrough. MK managed to win a succession on penalty corners but unfortunately failed to convert past a strong Maidenhead keeper. However, the side remained strong at the back despite a few hairy moments and game away with a 2-1 victory.
