Tough opening day defeat for Ronin

Not a brilliant first day at the office for the newly formed Ronin team. After a promising first 15 minutes where we possibly edged it, we conceded three relatively quick goals to go into half time 3-0 down. The second half offered a far more promising display of hockey though, with Kav Jr scoring from a well worked short corner. Credit to Nick Powell for taking a stick to the face and after some steri strips were applied and TLC administered, finishing the game. Man of the match was Tom Sandiford for an excellent midfield performance. There wasn't a square inch of the pitch that he didn't cover.

This week it's our first home match of the season against Tring 3 who also suffered a 3-1 loss in their previous match to Newbury and Thatcham.
