MK Ladies 3's had a very different game of hockey this week spending most of it on the attack and pressing high up the pitch into Abingdon's half. This possession high up the pitch saw MK Ladies 3s have many shots on goal with Emma Kynaston and Ellie Wheeler coming close. It was captain Laura Rundle who broke the deadlock to put MK one goal ahead.
MK Ladies 3's played great possession hockey trying to transfer the ball and using the posting up skills they have been practising in training. All their hard work paid off as Laura Rundle once again slotted the ball into the goal. This ignited Abingdon and they did gain possession higher up the pitch forcing MK keeper Carey Maitland-Lauderdale to make a save. MK held on for the win and gained their first points of the season!
