26.1.16 Abingdon Ladies 2s v Milton Keynes Ladies 3s

Milton Keynes Ladies 3s faced another road trip this week to Abingdon. MK started slowly and reacted to Abingdon's play rather than playing their own game but they calmed down and got better possession which lead to Emma Kynaston scoring a goal from a short corner. Abingdon soon equalised with a goal also from a short corner. The first half was end to end and MK added a second when a strike from Georgia Marshall ended up in the back of the net off an Abingdon player. Abingdon again equalised but MK added a third through Emma Kynaston after great team play.

The second half saw the defence of Carey Maitland-Lauderdale, Emma Hooton, Sam Gorman, Ceci Carames and Charlotte Norman sweeping up everything Abingdon threw at them including several short corners. The mid of Georgia Marshall, Laura Dudley and Siobhan Kavanagh worked tirelessly moving the ball up the pitch and linking with Emma Kynaston, Megan Ellis, Lauren Clemas and Fouzia Khan. This saw MK put a lot of pressure on the Abingdon goal and Siobhan Kavanagh scored a cracking goal from top of the D having nearly scored a few minutes earlier to the delight of her team mates. MK kept the pressure on until the final whistle and were pleased with their 3 points.
