Milton Keynes Ladies 3s 3-0 Amersham & Chalfont 3s

Milton Keynes Ladies 3s were determined to continue their great game play from the previous week for this weeks match against Amersham & Chalfont 3s and they didn't disappoint! They started brightly and showed to A&C that they meant to take all 3 points. MK showed off their hardwork in training on the pitch with posting up, quick accurate passing and a belief they could get something from the game. This attitude paid off as Man of the Match Georgia Marshall scored a goal from deflecting the ball from a shot by Francesca Head during a short corner. The defence of Sam Gorman, Laura Dudley, Ceci Carames and Laura Rundle kept their shape and closed the A&C attack with Lisa Kavanagh in the goalie pads dealing with any ball that got through. The ball was worked well through the mid with strong confident possession moving it up the pitch. A ball in the A&C circle was hit by several MK players but it was the finishing skills of Siobhan Kavanagh that got MK their second goal to the delight of the team as it was her goal!

MK started the second half alert to make sure A&C didn't get back into the game. They pressed the ball well putting the A&C defence under pressure and being awarded with short corners. Georgia Marshall thought she had scored a second from a short but the ball was deemed too high crossing the line. MK did manage a third goal which involved a period a play involving nearly all the team with Megan Venturi feeding the ball in for Emma Hooton's shot to be saved but Ceci Carames was there to follow the ball up and score the third goal for MK. Emma Kynaston , Niamh Smith and Carys Holland kept hassling for the ball and shadowed A&C down the pitch as the last 10 minutes turned scrappy. MK didn't falter and the final whistle came with MK winning 3-0. Thanks to Will Luther and Trish O'Rourke for umpiring.
