Milton Keynes Ladies 3s knew it was going to be a tough match as they set off to Maidenhead with only 10 players. Despite this and the terrible weather it did not dampen their spirits and they played some lovely hockey. Emma Kynaston padded up for the team and put in a man of the match performance in goal. The 3s worked hard all match trying to pick up the Maidenhead players but the opposition took their chances and put 3 past MK.
Milton Keynes kept their heads and played more possession hockey in the second half which saw them have more play in Maidenhead's half resulting in penetrating the circle. The final score was 3-0 but MK can hold their heads high after a great team effort and will look ahead to getting some points in the return fixture.
