MK Ladies 3s V Sonning 4s

MK Ladies 3s needed to show more determination this week. They were surprised that the opposition Sonning 4s only turned up with 8 players. MK started cautiously but once the first goal was scored they settled down. Trish O'Rourke commanded the forward line along with Francesca Head. With Lana Camp Georgia Marshall and Lauren Hooton in the mid field keeping the ball constantly in the Sonning half. The defence of Emma Hooton, Emma Kynaston, Sam Gorman and Ceci Carames pushing high to keep on the pressure leaving goalie Carey Maitland-Lauderdale spectating and only touching the ball once all game. By half time MK were 6-0 up with a first half hat trick from Lana Camp, two from Trish and 1 from Lauren " Cinderella" Clemas.

In the second half MK wanted to keep a clean sheet and push on the advantage of numbers. The goals started coming again with another 3 from Trish including a spectacular shot from the base line and Lauren Clemas, Lauren Hooton, Georgia Marshall, Fouzia Khan, Lana Camp and a well deserved goal for Francesca Head who had worked hard all match and been involved in most of the other goals. It was pleasing to see MK with good tempo and determination despite the score. They need to replicate this performance next week now but will be delighted with the 3 points and goal tally.
