MKHC Ladies 2’s vs Marlow Ladies 4’s

January ended and February had finally arrived, bringing high spirits and from some team members, the literal smell of spirits from the night before.
The MK ladies 2s arrived fresh, punctual and ready to claim 3 more points for their own. The team were pumped and with a dancing warm up with tunes to the likes of Grease and a touch of Lion King, the team were certainly feeling sharper than lightning and ready to take on Marlow.
MK began strong, but the opposition were very much testing the team with a tight half court press. Brilliant keeper Nic saved many shots which would have left MK down a few goals but luckily kept a clean sheet, which led to her deserving Man of the Match.
MK had some great runs and passes, which resulted in Amalia scoring a lovely deflection which put MK 1-0 up. The second half was much better for the team, other than for Zoe who decided to fall over thin air with a scream that could be heard through the rooftops of MK. Nice one Zoe. Two touch hockey came into play and Marlow's tight press no longer worked.
MK held the lead and managed to steal another 3 points to hold second place in the table.
