Jack Luther and Martin Kavanagh each scored a brace as Milton Keynes men's 2s got their pre-season off to a perfect start with a resounding 7-2 win away a East London.
With a number of new players in the starting line-up, Milton Keynes were hoping for a solid performance and after a shaky start things started to click for the visitors.
Last season's top scorer, Kavanagh grabbed his first after a fantastic team move down the right flank, with the winger slotting the ball home at the back post.
A minute later it was 2-0. MK striker Callum Clarke dispossessed the East London centre back at the top of the D and slipped the ball to Kavanagh who made no mistake from close range.
It was all MK now and Clarke got in on the act to give the visitors a 3-0 lead. The striker produced a sensational drag flick that flew into the top corner giving the keeper no chance.
The one-way traffic continued and shortly before the break it was 5-0. First Giac Palmiero picked the ball up at the top of the D and slammed a shot bottom corner to make it 4, before Jack Luther grabbed his first of the game from close range.
After half time, MK slowed a little and didn't have the same impetus as they'd had early on.
They were made to pay for a period of sloppy play, conceding two goals, both of short corners.
This seemed to spur them into life though and after Mark Sibson hit the cross bar, MK seemed to get back into the groove.
The visitors grabbed their sixth after a powerful run by captain Dave Breuilly down the right hand side. After a goal mouth scramble, the skipper saw the ball home to reward his hard work.
Just before the final whistle, Luther scored his second and MK's seventh courtesy of a wicked deflection that wrong footed the keeper.
