End of Junior Season is Nigh

We are approaching the end of season again, I know this season seems to have flown by!

Last year we held the Fun day from 1200 - 1400 and the presentations in the evening...……...This year we are trying something new and having the presentations immediately following the Family Fun mini tournament - see details below.

Please note the following for the closing weeks of the season.

Sunday 31st March : Normal Training (10:00 - 11:30)

Sunday 7th April : Stix Skills Practice Session (10:00 - 11:30) - Please try and arrive by 09:45 so we can start as early as possible.

Sunday 14th and 21st April : No Training - Easter Break

Sunday 28th April : Junior End of Season Day (10:00 - 17:00)

1. Stix Skills : 10am to 11:30am
2. Family Fun Day : 12:00 - 14:00
3. Junior Presentations : 14:00 - 17:00 (In the club house)

Yes, this season we are combining the Stix Skills, Family Fun Day and Presentations together into a single day!!.

Stix Skills : This is a formal assessment of the juniors which we have run for many years now. 6 different skills are assessed and juniors are given a grading of Cub, Bronze, Silver or Gold depending how they have performed in the exercises. I will collate the results during the Family Funday and announce them as part of the presentations. I will pdf and email the certificates following the day.

Family Fun day : An opportunity for parents and siblings to play hockey with the juniors. We hold a mini tournament in which parents can show case their talents - you never know we may discover or re-discover a player who can then go on to play for the club...……. Either way it is a fun event that rounds of the season really well.

Presentations : After the Family Fun, we retire to the club house for presentations where we recognise the talent within the club. There will be food provided and the usual raffle. The bar will be open as well. Each coach will provide a report of the season and hand out awards. Additionally, I will announce the Stix Skills results.

I anticipate finishing at around 17:00

There will be a small charge for day of £5 per person, with a maximum of £20 for a family.
This will be collected on the day and goes towards pitch hire and catering.

Finally, as usual, can I ask for donations for prizes for the raffle...………………….please pass them to me at training (31th or 7th) or on the day!! - let me know if you are able to donate a prize!!

Many thanks for what has been another enjoyable season...………

I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the 28th.

Tim
