Please give generously to our local food bank

Our local Food Bank relies entirely on donations of food and money from local schools, churches, businesses, organisations and individuals and every single item or penny given makes a difference. Their warehouse and serving centres are manned by volunteers from the local area and through Referral Agencies identify families and individuals who need their support and issue a voucher entitling them to a food parcel. Food parcels can be picked up from one of their serving sessions located around the city. Clients can receive a food parcel up to five times within a rolling 12 month period.
We would like to help support this local charity and will be collecting donations over the next week (w/c 23rd October) at all our training sessions (junior, ladies and mens).
If you would like to donate, please select items from the below as the Food Bank is struggling to supply these as part of their parcels due to low stock:
Biscuits
Tinned meat
Tinned veg
Tinned fish
Sugar
Tinned fruit
Long life milk (whole and semi skimmed)
Children’s cereal
Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower gel, shaving cream/gel, shampoo, deodorants, disposable razors)
They are also working on a “One In Five” project, which they require the below items too:
Long life juice
500ml Long life milk (preferably whole milk)
Tinned baked beans (small tins)
Tinned fruit
Tinned spaghetti (small tins)
Fruit Pots
Any donations will be gratefully received and will be a massive contribution to this local charity.

If you have any questions or require more information, please contact Charlie Coumbe (Ladies 1s Captain).
